Single on Valentine’s Day? Starting to think there aren’t any more good men in the world? Natahna Bargen has gone ahead and found three hot bachelors on campus worth approaching — so put on that lip gloss and get ready to be one step closer to the man of your dreams!
Age: 22
Ryan is a man who enjoys long walks on the beach while sipping on strawberry daiquiris. When he can’t find a beach to stroll on, he likes to keep it relaxed by hanging out with friends (when he’s not studying). Ryan is a fourth-year student majoring in psychology, hoping to get into a master’s program and then on to clinical psychology. Ryan is tall, dark, handsome and looking for love (and yes, Cupid is his real last name).
NATAHNA BARGEN: M&Ms or Eminem?
RYAN CUPID: Definitely Eminem, the rapper! But have some M&Ms with that also.
NB: Make the first move or wait until she drops a hint?
RC: Probably make the first move. Sometimes it turns out awesome, sometimes it kind of blows up in my face, but you learn from experience.
NB: Jennifer Aniston or Jennifer Lopez?
RC: I’m gonna have to go with J.Lo on this one, but Jennifer Aniston was my favorite Friend, so…
NB: Would you rather live in the pouch of a giant kangaroo, or have a pouch on your own stomach and have a tiny kangaroo living in it all the time?
RC: I think I would probably like to live in the pouch of a giant kangaroo. It would be pretty sweet, I think — very cozy, lots of nice fur. You could still be your own autonomous human being, but also live within the kangaroo. Having a pouch on your own stomach could get in the way with other things like work and sports and things.
NB: The Lord of the Rings or Star Wars?
RC: I don’t want to say both, because it’s such a cop out. So I’m gonna go, just right now, with probably Star Wars. People always hate on the new ones because they’re not classic, but you got to appreciate the new ones too. I think it still adds to the whole series.
NB: Name someone who inspires you.
RC: This is going to sound really cheesy, but I’m going to say my parents because they raised me into the man that I am today. We’ve been through a lot of stuff with our family, we’ve had our ups and downs, but at the end of the day I think we’re still nice and close and they’ve both given me lots of guidance growing up. I’m really happy with who I am today, and I owe a lot of that to my parents. They inspire me to strive for more each day. That’s not even an out-of-my-ass answer.
NB: If you had to listen to only one artist for the rest of your life, what artist would you choose?
RC: Blink-182. They had a lot of my favorite songs growing up that I listened to, so it would be nostalgic.
NB: Do you know any jokes?
RC: I’ll do two:
Why did the cow cross the road? To get to the udder side.
And: The Dalai Lama walks into a pizza shop, and they ask him what he wants. He says, “Make me one with everything.”
NB: If girls wanted to “bump into you” on campus, where are you most likely to be?
RC: I’ll be straight up with you, I’m doing my honours thesis right now, so I’m always on campus and I’m always being a loser in the Murray Reading Room so you couldn’t actually talk to me. But you could come in and do some sign language, or maybe pass me a note saying “Do you like me?” with a “Yes or No” box that I could check. I don’t know, it would be an adventure. I would be up for it though.

Cam is a modern-day Renaissance man. He is a fourth-year English major, minoring in history, which he then hopes will lead him into law after his undergrad. In his spare time he enjoys sports such as basketball and football. He can also keep it simple with movies and reading in his spare time, as well as enjoying all genres of music. Cam is a tall drink of water ready to find happily ever after with his own leading lady.
NATAHNA BARGEN: Play a practical joke, or can’t keep a straight face?
CAM REDL: Play a practical joke. My friends and I always give each other a hard time.
NB: Pickles or cucumbers?
CR: Oh, pickles. Dill pickles for sure.
NB: Emma Stone or Emma Watson?
CR: Emma Stone is definitely hotter, but I don’t think she’s as hot as everyone says she is.
NB: If you could go back in time to any point in history, what would be your “golden age”?
CR: Oh, the Jazz Age. The ’20s, or early 20th century for sure. Hemingway and Fitzgerald are my favorite authors, so I’d go back then.
NB: If you had to brag about one quality about yourself, what would you brag about?
CR: I can reach just about any shelf on anything. Also, NHL 12: Mitch Stevens and I will take on anyone.
NB: Cover of Rolling Stone or front page of the New York Times?
CR: Rolling Stone.
NB: If you could make the sky rain anything right now, what would you want it to rain?
CR: Diamonds. I don’t know where that came from.
NB: Pick a movie as your new life you live in. What would you choose?
CR: Disturbia, because Shia LeBeouf ends up with Sarah Roemer in the end.
NB: Tell her “I love you” or show her “I love you?”
CR: Show her.
NB: Last thing you do before bed?
CR: I usually fall asleep reading.
NB: Know any good jokes?
CR: No, no good jokes.
NB: If girls would like to “bump into you” on campus, where are you most likely to be?
CR: I’m in the PAC gym a lot.

Kyle is a man of action. He loves all things sports, including hockey, football and basketball. He recently took up running and ran his first 10K last year. Kyle is a third-year sociology student. His long-term goal is to be a police officer. Besides being easy to talk to, Kyle is also easy on the eyes and is looking for someone to share his adventures with.
NATAHNA BARGEN: Go to a party or throw a party?
KYLE BANADYGA: Go to a party.
NB: Travel to the future or go back in time?
KB: I’d go back in time.
NB: When?
KB: I’d say back to when my grandparents’ were young, to their dances and stuff like that. It was different back then. The socializing was for the men to go have drinks outside while the ladies visited inside, and then they’d go dance. It would be cool, neat to be back in those times — more romantic.
NB: Do you think you would be more successful warding off a zombie attack or an alien invasion?
KB: I’m scared of zombies, so I’d say aliens. The aliens might be nice. They might just be invading because they want to get to know you — for Valentine’s Day.
NB: Christina Applegate or Christina Aguilera?
KB: Applegate.
NB: If you could have any kind of special skill or talent, what would you choose?
KB: I’d say, just being able to pick up any instrument and just giv’er. Some type of musical ability, like those people who can just do it on a whim — I think that would be really cool.
NB: What is your go-to meal to make?
KB: I don’t even know what you would call it. It’s this chicken concoction, like a chicken stew kind of deal.
NB: All-time favourite movie?
KB: The Notebook. No, I like war movies, so Saving Private Ryan and then Hot Rod.
NB: First thing you notice about a girl?
KB: I guess like their smile or something. Because then you can tell everything from that. If she has a nice smile it usually means she’s nice and inviting I guess.
NB: If you could have any animal (regular, exotic or mythical) as a pet, what would you choose?
KB: A Komodo Dragon. I knew my answer before you even finished, that’s how awesome they are.
NB: Do you know any good jokes?
KB: Oh, I have a really bad one. It’s sexist:
Why don’t girls ski? Because there’s no snow between the kitchen and the laundry room.
Oh, it’s bad, it’s so bad. That’s not cool.
NB: If girls wanted to “bump into you” on campus, where are you most likely to be?
KB: I’d say at STM in the library. I’m usually studying. Or the track.
