A woman was sexually assaulted by an unidentified male in a campus parking lot early in the afternoon on May 23. According to an email recently sent to all university students and faculty, the suspect approached the woman at around 1:00 p.m. and convinced her to join him in a parking lot just off of Seminary Crescent, where the suspect sexually assaulted the victim and then fled on foot.
The victim was not physically harmed during the incident.
A news release from Saskatoon Police Services describes the suspect as having dark skin and black hair, and was last seen wearing a black shirt with a dark blue or black jacket and white sunglasses (see photo on the right).
Campus Safety did not comment on the incident but encouraged reporting any suspicious persons or activity immediately to Campus Safety.

Campus Safety promotes the use of the Safewalk program and Rape and Aggression Defence training, which is available to faculty and students, to prevent similar incidents in the future.
