The Sheaf needs your help

Send us your messages for the Feb 11 Valentine's issue

2 February 2010

The Feb. 11 edition of the Sheaf will feature some Valentine’s Day content and we want your help.

If you have a crush or a significant other you want to surprise, send us a 50-word valentine to print in the Feb. 11 paper. The submissions can be entirely anonymous, signed or signed with a fake name.

If Valentine’s isn’t your thing, send us an anti-valentine addressed to your ex-lover. Tell that person who broke your heart (or whose heart you broke) why you hate them, why you broke up with them, or anything else. These submissions too can be as anonymous as you want them to be.

Send your 50-word message to one of two specially set up email addresses or use the form at the bottom of this post. For valentines, please send to love@thesheaf.com and for anti-valentines, please send to heartbreak@thesheaf.com.

Submissions may be tweaked for spelling and clarity, but we will not print anything that is libelous or otherwise in violation of our normal submission standards. So no racist stuff, please.

Valentine Example

Dear Hunnybunch.
You are swell. I’m lucky to have you.
Let’s get married one day.
-Pooky

Anti-Valentine Example

To my ex. You always had the worst breath. Especially during sex, it was unbearable.
Ever wonder why we always did it doggy style? Also, I hate your mom.
