Two months ago, if you had asked me about a show called Community, aired on NBC, about a group of seven people who randomly get together to form a study group at their local community college, I wouldn’t have known what you were talking about. Now, it is one of the funniest shows I have ever seen, and I would say it is just as funny as, perhaps even funnier than, other comedies like The Office and Arrested Development.

To my surprise, most people I talk to haven’t heard of The Walking Dead. Even worse, when I explain that it’s a post-apocalyptic zombie show, most people get turned off and are not interested in anything else I have to say.
The Walking Dead is about so much more than just zombies. It is a show about a family, nearly torn apart by unforeseen events and forced to protect themselves against the (in)human monsters of the night after civilization has collapsed.

As a lover of Lovecraftian creatures and horrific nightmares from Stephen King’s imagination, I hold a special place in my heart for an ongoing YouTube series, Marble Hornets. The show is an independent horror series featuring unknown yet horrifying creatures, masked men and a terrifying atmosphere so thick that it’s rock solid.
