THE UNIVERSITY OF SASKATCHEWAN’S MAIN CAMPUS IS SITUATED ON TREATY 6 TERRITORY AND THE HOMELAND OF THE MÉTIS.
The provincial government announced $65 million in new funding for the U of S Feb. 24.
The Health Sciences Building expansion will receive $50 million of that funding. This will go directly to the continued construction on two wings of the facility.
$20.7 million will go towards repairs and maintenance at post-secondary schools across the province. The U of S alone stands in need of $617 million in deferred maintenance.
A final $5.7 million will be put towards the completion of the International Vaccine Centre on campus. InterVac should open late this year.
