Longtime veterinary research donors Heather Ryan and David Dubé will have a facility on campus named in their honour.
They donated $1.2 million to upgrade the University of Saskatchewan horse health facility. The expanded building will be christened the Ryan/Dubé Equine Performance Centre in recognition of the local couple’s ongoing history of philanthropy.
Thanks to their contribution, new construction to add 1,000 square meters to the facility will begin in February 2011.
New features will include a paved indoor runway and an exercising ring for detection and study of lameness. A multi-purpose area with restraint stocks will also be added.
