Students can put on their dorky political caps on Thursday and drill Saskatoon’s candidates for mayor.
All three mayoral candidates running in the Oct. 24 civic election — incumbent Don Atchison and newcomers Tom Wolf and Clay Mazurkewich — have confirmed they will be taking part in the question and debate forum Oct. 18 in room 2C02 in the Engineering Building.
The event was planned by the University of Saskatchewan Students’ Union and President Jared Brown will moderate.
“Students, faculty and staff are invited and we encourage you to ask questions regarding your concerns to the candidates,” USSU’s website reads.
Wolf has constantly been dropping election promises since announcing his candidacy, a strategy that has been criticized by Atchison who says his expectations of the job are unrealistic. While Mazurkewich has remained relatively out of the media’s spotlight.
