Homemade cranberry sauce
Yield: 1 ¼ cups
Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
4 cups fresh cranberries
- Wash your cranberries and pick out any seeds or branches.
- Bring water and sugar to a boil. Stir this mixture constantly to dissolve the sugar while it boils.
- Add cranberries and return the sauce to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to a simmer for approximately 10 minutes or until cranberries burst.

Thanksgiving punch (a.k.a. basically just punch)
The best way to serve drinks at any big family gathering is a help-yourself punch bowl. For an easy punch mix equal parts of cranberry juice, ginger ale and orange juice mixed together in a punch bowl.
This punch is a little bit tangy and perfect for a big family dinner.
It also goes well with vodka.
