Ilene Busch-Vishniac isn’t intimidated by former University of Saskatchewan president Peter MacKinnon’s legacy. Busch-Vishniac recently moved in to MacKinnon’s old home and began working her new job from MacKinnon’s old office inside the recently renamed Peter MacKinnon Building.

A six-week delay in notifying the campus community about a reported sexual assault has stirred up questions over the university’s policy when responding to violent attacks.
It was reported that alcohol and other drugs may have been involved in theassault. This incident was first reported to, and is being investigated by, the Saskatoon Police Service. The university is fully co-operating in this investigation.

Peter MacKinnon has announced his advanced resignation from the position of president at the University of Saskatchewan.

The university’s recently released Learning Charter sets out learning goals for graduates as well as the roles students, faculty, instructors and the administration all play at the U of S. However, certain parts of the charter, which was drafted with little student input, are troubling.
