A student enrolled in arts and science classes is being treated for active pulmonary tuberculosis and 589 of his or her classmates and professors have been identified as having been potentially exposed to the disease. The student has been removed from campus and is in non-critical condition. Other affected students and faculty are being notified via email and have been asked to come in for testing at the Education Building next week.

One student has been removed from campus for treatment. The health region now has a list of that student’s classmates and professors and is working to contact them.
