The Huskies finished third among varsity squads in the women’s team standings, while the men’s Huskies landed in fourth place at the 2013 Bison Classic, hosted by the University of Manitoba Feb. 1 and 2.

Lane Britnell captured his second consecutive national gold medal March 10 at the Canadian Interuniversity Sport track and field championships in Winnipeg.
The University of Saskatchewan Huskies pole vaulter cleared 4.95 metres to beat out University of Western Ontario Mustang Matt Diston’s 4.90-metre vault and notch his third national medal in as many years competing.

Sharai Siemens led the way as the Huskies women’s track and field team topped the Canada West podium last weekend at the Saskatoon Field House.
It was the third time in the last four years that the University of Saskatchewan women’s squad has won the championship — they took the title in 2009 and 2010 but finished third last season.
