Late last month, Google announced its plans to amalgamate their many privacy policies into one unified document starting March 1. The new policy changes are presented as a take-it-or-leave-it option from Google.
The new policy will replace 60 existing product-specifying privacy documents for Google services such as Gmail, YouTube and Docs. According to Google, the terms of the new policy will provide better search results and ads that are more likely to be of interest to users.

People’s online identities are no longer divorced from their offline lives. Our university NSIDs use our initials and it’s likely that the email on your resume is something that identifies you by name — something that surferpunk88@hotmail.com never quite did.

The university teacher-student dynamic can be a strange one: on one hand, students are students, and should reasonably be expected to act accordingly, deferring to professors as superiors and as more knowledgeable.
On the other hand, students know they pay a good chunk of their professors’ salary, and this can sometimes lead to students feeling as though they deserve more equal footing with their instructors.
