The undefeated Alberta Pandas kept their winning streak alive this weekend, downing the Huskies women’s hockey team Oct. 19 and 20 at Clare Drake Arena in Edmonton.

Last February, in the final weeks of the 2011-12 season, the Huskies men’s volleyball team managed a string of three consecutive wins, their longest streak all season. However, it only pushed their team record to a meager 4-16 on the season, leaving them outside a playoff spot.

The University of Saskatchewan ladies softball team earned a bronze medal at the national tournament held in Regina Oct. 6 – 8. It marks the fourth time the U of S team has medaled at the national championships since the team’s inception in 2008.

The number four ranked Huskies men’s hockey team ended their weekend series with the unranked Manitoba Bisons Oct. 12 and 13 in an even draw. Each team won one of the two games played at the Max Bell Centre arena on the University of Manitoba campus.
