Nick Clarke is a sportsaholic, and he loves coming back to the University of Saskatchewan to play. The 31-year-old Clarke is currently spending his fifth and final year of Canadian university sport eligibility playing on the Huskies men’s soccer team, but that doesn’t even come close to defining his career in sport.

Huskies safety Bryce McCall sits on the verge of entering the CIS record books. McCall has been a menace for opposing teams’ quarterbacks his entire university career. Now midway through his final year of eligibility with the Dogs he has 20 career interceptions, only one away from tying a CIS record.

Last season Brett Levis was named a Canada West second team all-star after posting four goals on 37 shots as a rookie with the club. Now in his second season with the Dogs, Levis quickly reminded everyone of his offensive prowess in the first game of the season when he scored two goals against the Winnipeg Wesmen.

Danny Stone is entering her fifth season with the Huskies women’s hockey team and as pre-season action gets underway, she is already being recognized as an offensive powerhouse with the Dogs for another year. She’s a subject of this week’s Dog Watch.

It is a rarity in the sports world to see two or more siblings playing at a high level of competition in the same sport. Professional examples include the six Sutter brothers who played in the NHL, sisters Venus and Serena Williams play professional tennis and, of course, Peyton and Eli Manning both quarterback NFL teams.
