Huskies knocked out of University Cup with loss to Patriotes

The Huskies won’t be hoisting the University Cup in front of hometown fans this year. The University of Saskatchewan squad was knocked out of the Canadian Interuniversity Sport men’s hockey national championship tournament after falling 3-1 to the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières Patriotes tonight at Credit Union Centre in Saskatoon.

The gender battle in the CIS

Of the 480 head coaches in Canadian Interuniversity Sport, a staggering 408 are male. While most people would say the dramatic disparity speaks for itself, and that the issue of gender inequality at university-level coaching positions is black and white, not everyone feels the same way.
