Formulating cohesive opinions can be a challenge. Most people believe you can say anything and have it be a valid opinion. It’s true that I could say something like, “The Eiffel tower is purple!” It’s true that it would be my opinion, but we all know that facts and science and about a trillion photographs could prove me wrong. The point is that having an opinion — one that you can back up — is a lost art. It seems that in many conversations I have, people’s only defence for their controversial opinions is to say, “Well, that’s my opinion.”
What kind of bullshit is that? What are you, five?

Was Shakespeare a fraud? No, but Anonymous, the latest film from ridiculous director Roland Emmerich decided to explore the idea anyway.
After watching this film, it is puzzling to think about who exactly it was made for. The people who know the details of Shakespeare’s works are nothing but offended by the idea of this film, especially because the film’s marketing tried to sell this idea as true.

Saskatoon City Councillors discussed and ultimately deferred a motion on Oct. 24 to implement paid metered parking on Sundays in the downtown, Broadway and Riversdale neighbourhoods.
There are no large metropolitan centres in Canada that currently charge for parking on Sundays, though city councillor Darren Hill says there are other municipalities that are already doing this.
