Everywhere I look in Saskatoon I see the same photo of the same woman: a blonde with a nose ring and a fake smile on a pink background. “Breast Cancer: not just a disease of older women,” the tagline reads. It then tells us the woman was 24 years old and died of breast cancer.
Welcome Week festivities are a time-honoured tradition at the University of Saskatchewan, but in recent years a new trend has emerged. A handful of students are now working as “brand ambassadors,” hired by companies to represent their brand, particularly during the first few days of the semester.
