Edwards School Of Business students placed second overall in events and third in academics at this years Jeux de Commerce (JDC) West Business Competition.
The University of Saskatchewan hosted the event for the first time this past Jan. 14 to 16.
JDC is the largest student-run academic competition in Western Canada and the only one to combine academics with athletics and social challenges.
Eleven universities and 550 students participated in this year’s competition. Preceding the festivities, students from all eleven universities participated in Chillin’ for Charity — an event that involves public hot tubbing in severely sub zero temperatures — in order to raise money for local charitable organizations.
Along with their outstanding performance at JDC, ESB students were able to raise close to $55,000 dollars for the Children’s Health Foundation.
