Everyone knows one person who is seemingly good at everything they do — aren’t they infuriating? At 22, Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Michael Seyer is shaping up to be that person — but without all the negative connotations.
Bad Bonez is Seyer’s latest album, and he wrote, produced, performed and mixed it almost entirely by himself. Fittingly received as a bedroom-pop record — as he recorded the album in his and his roommate’s bedroom — Bad Bonez is a hazy, thoughtful work that’s perfect for those hazy and thoughtful nights in bed.
If you’re a fan of Mac DeMarco or Yellow Days, you’ll feel right at home with Michael Seyer. To get started, check out the song “Weekend at Santa Cruz.”
