Call Me By Your Name Soundtrack by Luca Guadagnio

By in Distractions

Call Me By Your Name: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is the musical counterpart for Oscar-award winning movie Call Me By Your Name. The soundtrack varies from the intricate piano of John Adams’ “Hallelujah Junction – 1st Movement” to Sufjan Stevens’ soft, heavy-hearted love songs.

The music takes the listener on an emotional journey. One of the most alluring tracks is Ryuichi Sakamoto’s “M.A.Y. in the Backyard” with its complicated, run-on piano notes and pointed violin solos.

Quintessentially 80s Italian and French pop hits throw the listener back to the hot nights the protagonists Elio and Oliver spent dancing away. The soundtrack is the perfect blend of beautiful, heady, emotionally-moving music and easy-listening, toe-tapping pop.
