Since their debut album in 2009, Phantogram has been at the forefront of synth-pop artists. However, their new album Three fails to push the genre’s envelope. Although it is a little more upbeat, Three just feels like more of the same for Phantogram. So, if you’re a fan of generic synth-pop, you’re in luck — if not, Three isn’t for you.
