The U of S signed an agreement Nov. 25 with a research institute in the Netherlands to collaborate on environmental monitoring technology.
The INnovation Centre for Advanced Sensors and Sensor Systems, or INCAS3, is a relatively new research centre. Its scientific director, Weinrich Wörtche, signed the memorandum of understanding with witnesses including the Netherlands Ambassador to Canada.
The memorandum should enable more research opportunities for U of S graduate students and community opportunities off of the U of S campus. Previously, work with INCAS3 involved monitoring air and water quality with the Northwest Nations Education Council.
