A group of graduate students from the University of Saskatchewan issued a motion of non-confidence on Oct. 28 toward the president of the Graduate Students’ Association, Izabela Vlahu.
Graduate students will vote on PAWS Feb. 28 to decide whether or not they will finally get a universal bus pass, or U-Pass. The referendum comes after a petition with over 500 signatures was brought to the GSA in September expressing their interest in a U-Pass similar to the one currently provided for undergraduates.
The University of Saskatchewan Graduate Students' Association wants to raise graduate student fees by approximately $68 per year. The change would increase the current $56 fees to $124.
